Terms and conditions:

We send tracking numbers to all customers when an item is shipped. The customer is responsible for the item once it has been delivered. 

If you are in Hawaii or Alaska, please message us for rates as they are NOT the same. We ship via FedEx. 

Understand that all wood products will vary in pattern and color (if stained). Also know that the computer monitor may impact the color visually. Please see our FAQ page.

Your purchase total includes a 50% deposit.                                                     

Returns:
Please contact us if you have any problems with your order. Although we don't anticipate any problems, sometimes things just happen. If something is not right, please contact us immediately. Our shop is founded on hard work, well-built products, and happy customers. If given the chance, we'd like to make it right. 

Please be sure to double-check size and color to avoid a return.
Custom items, for example, custom colors, sizes, finishes, items added or removed, or any such request made by the customer that changes the original shape, size, or color is NOT refundable. Some examples are custom paint (if available), different hinges, additional backing, or different handles.

Gift cards received as a result of a promotion will be canceled if the original merchandise is returned.

Rush Order Fees are NOT refundable.                                                               
                                                                                                                                
Return Policy:
Please notify us within 5 days of receipt of your order if you would like to make a return.
If 5 days have gone by since your purchase was received and you have not contacted us, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund.

  • Contact us within: 5 days of delivery for return instructions.
  • Ship items back in all original packing within 10 days of delivery. Returns are not accepted outside of the time frame. 

Gift cards received as a result of a promotion (sale) will be canceled if the original merchandise is returned.
We offer an entire page of information on our FAQ page to help avoid returns. Please read the page before ordering.                                                                                                                                                                                     
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

We will refund the cost of the returned items minus the initial deposit of 50% 
  • Returned merchandise must be unassembled and packaged in its original packing materials. Without the original packing, no return will be accepted. We offer several reminders to keep your packing.
  • Please obtain a photo of the outside box and the contents before sealing the box, send this picture to us with your return approval request.
  • Please provide the following information: customer name, item(s) to be returned, and the nature of the problem.
Once we have received and approved your return, we will apply the credit amount to your credit card or payment method. 

However, as an alternative to a return, we are happy to offer store credit for the full amount less original shipping, which can be applied to a future purchase once the original item is received by us. Store credit allows customers to retain the value of their order while covering the materials already purchased.

Rush Order Fees are NOT refundable.
Feel free to contact us within a week of purchase if your exact item is on sale and we will credit the difference. No credits will be processed outside of this time frame. Black Friday - Cyber Monday weekend sales are EXCLUDED from this policy and will not be honored once the sale has expired.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at josephinethomashome@gmail.com

You will also be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.Original shipping costs are non-refundable and there is a restocking fee. PLEASE READ THE STORE POLICIES. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service and purchase shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item and you will need tracking information to follow up with the carrier.


Exchanges (if applicable)
We do not accept exchanges since this is a custom made item. You may return the item at your expense for a refund, less a 25% restocking fee and original shipping charges. The item must be packed with the same materials and in the same manner as it was received to avoid damage and ensure a full refund of your product (less 25
 restocking fee).


Damaged Items
If your item is damaged during shipping, you must contact us within 48 hours of receipt. You must retain all packaging in the even of a return. Contact us immediately a josephinethomashome@gmail.com for instructions. Please take pictures of all damage and any damage to the box.
A damaged item does NOT include wood texture or color variation. That is typical of wood. Custom orders are not refundable. This includes size and lettering. Measure your stove and check your spelling. Boards over 40 inches aree NOT returnable and are final sale.


Our damage policy is:

We work hard to ensure your item arrives damage free. But unfortunately damage can happen. If it does, contact us with pictures of both your damaged box and damaged item and we will respond with the best solution available. 


Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received (following the above instructions), a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.



Clean with a soft, damp cloth, no harsh cleaners, and use coasters for drinks and felt pads for decor to avoid surface damage.

A little more about painted items:

  • Our "Premier Series" cabinets and pet products are crafted using a sustainable material called Glacier Green—a type of medium-density fiberboard known for its excellent paint adhesion and eco-friendly properties. Glacier Green is engineered from recycled wood fibers, which helps conserve natural resources by reducing timber waste and supporting sustainable forestry practices. 

    Medium Density Fiberboard, particularly Glacier Green, aligns with green building principles by promoting resource efficiency, minimizing environmental impact, and enhancing indoor air quality. It provides a smooth, uniform surface, making it ideal for precision work such as cutting, routing, moulding, and drilling.

    In addition to its practical benefits, Glacier Green is a low-carbon material. Because it is made from reclaimed wood fibers rather than freshly harvested timber, its production results in a significantly reduced carbon footprint, contributing to a more sustainable and responsible approach to manufacturing.

When an item is painted, we use Behr washable, cabinet paint in a semi-gloss finish on our cabinets and hampers. 

Do not use harsh cleaners; instead, opt for a soft, damp cloth. DO NOT use essential oils as they will break down the paint.
